Aad Offerman is al bijna twintig jaar actief als vakjournalist, technologie-auteur, columnist, hoofdredacteur, bladenmaker, New Media specialist en portal-bouwer in de Nederlandse ICT markt. Daarbij ligt de focus op het snijvlak van technologie, business en markt.
Op dit moment is hij als auteur verbonden aan onder andere Automatisering Gids en Tweakers.net. Daarnaast werkt hij voor het Joinup-project (voorheen OSOR: Open Source Observatory and Repository) van de Europese Commissie.
Naast de schrijverij werkt Aad ook als consultant, ingenieur en adviseur. Hij is betrokken bij diverse technologie-communicatieprojecten op gebied van internet- en netwerktechnologie, beveiliging, cryptografie, Linux en Open Source Software. Bovendien geeft hij vaak mediatrainingen aan wetenschappers, professionals en management teams.
Hij is afgestudeerd in de Technische Informatica aan de TU Delft, waar hij zich heeft gespecialiseerd in Computer Architectuur en Digitale Techniek. Daarnaast is hij in 2010 afgestudeerd als psycholoog aan de Universiteit Leiden, waar hij zich heeft gespecialiseerd in cognitieve psychologie en klinische psychologie. Inmiddels studeert hij Wiskunde aan de Universiteit Leiden.

Adrian Offerman has been working as a specialist journalist, technology writer, columnist, editor-in-chief, magazine maker, New Media specialist, and portal developer in the Dutch IT market for almost twenty years now, focusing on the intersection of technology, business and markets.
At this moment he is a contributing editor for Automatisering Gids and Tweakers.net, among others. He also works for the Joinup project (formerly OSOR: Open Source Observatory and Repository) of the European Commission.
Next to his writing, Adrian is working as a consultant, engineer, and advisor. Nowadays he is involved in several technology communications projects on internet and networking technology, security, cryptography, Linux, and Open Source Software. And he often gives media training to scientists, professionals, and management teams.
He has a M.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from Delft University of Technology, where he specialized in Computer Architecture and Digital Technique. Furthermore, in 2010 he completed a M.Sc. degree in Psychology from Leiden University, where he specialized in cognitive psychology and clinical psychology. Currently, he is taking courses in Mathematics at Leiden University.
